I'm still out here ...

I'm still exercising (in fact, riding my bike instead of taking my car quite often). Tonight I go to pick up my new card at the gym -- I've been here a year, and just renewed my membership. Who would have thought? :)

I'm working on the study for the July 24 Sunday school class on singleness - it's been a blessing to remember what God's done in my life in that area. Anyone who has any thoughts to add, I'd love to hear them.

My only thoughts on singleness is Jesus is all you need.

I know we hear it all the time. But do we really hear it?

It's one thing to let it go in the ears. It's another thing to let Him take you through the process of letting it become real to your heart. In Him, in Christ, is life and life more abundantly. No husband, no wife, no person on this earth has that kind of life to give. Only Jesus has that kind of life to give - and He'll give it freely to whosoever will. The only qualifier for any "whosoever" is simply to give up trying to make it all work and make something happen in this life for himself or herself, surrender all to Him, and follow Him wherever He chooses to lead.

I agree Carol.

He is good, and He knows what's best for us. What a blessing to just trust Him to give (or withhold) whatever He chooses!
